Our first WiOPS Member of the Month for 2018 is Molly Skinner. She has worked at KPFF Consulting Engineers for the last 17 years. She’s a licensed structural & civil engineer in California. She works as Structural Engineer and Associate in the KPFF Irvine office. She worked on site at Torrance Memorial Medical Center from 2011-2012 during construction of their new hospital tower. She describes the experience as absolutely great. She particularly enjoyed getting to see the construction on a daily basis, developing relationships with the general contractor, subcontractors, inspectors, and seeing how much the owner appreciated everyone’s efforts. She’s involved with industry organizations through SEAOC (Structural Engineers Association of California), as well as a community women’s soccer league. She loves to travel, watch LA Kings hockey, and watch any UCLA sports (her alma mater). She also enjoys going to the beach and being outdoors, especially when she’s perfecting her emerging talent as a beginner surfer.
Each year, we hope to challenge the organization to realize new goals and embrace greater missions for the group.
