About WiOPS

In 2013, a group of outstanding women from Southern California construction companies and related fields joined together to start a group geared towards mentoring women working in the operation side of construction. This group spans across several general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and will encompass owner’s reps and the CM branch as well.

We call it Women in Construction Operations, or WiOPS . The board members have met throughout the year to set up events that will support the goals and mission of this group.

We are continually trying to generate interest in the group, so we can ensure we reach women at all levels with contractors, architects, owners and designers. In addition, we hope you will spread the word to the women in your organization and encourage them to attend our events. We are keeping this focused toward women in operations/managerial/estimating/ engineering/design type career paths for now, so please feel free to invite women in these categories who would benefit from the organization. The goal of the group is to facilitate mentor & protege relationships between women in the construction, architecture and engineering professions.

Please visit our membership and events pages so you can learn more about participating and benefiting from the organization. We look forward to meeting you at our next event!

Each year, we hope to challenge the organization to realize new goals and embrace greater missions for the group.
